Status: Stitches came out of my nose on a wussy nose blow (I’m only allowed wussy ones to date – still really sore and healing up there in the nasla cavity, fyi), in a tissue – duh, from my nose. Gross. But I was excited.
Weight Watchers: sucks. I’m starving, I’m staying the same weight. One of my galpals texted me and said, “I ate 62 points, can we quit now?” We’re allowed 26 points. I said, “NO”. Even though I ate 32 points today. I HAD TO. Going off Effexor makes you nauseous, you gotta do what you gotta do.
I went for my second post-op to the ENT (Ear/Nose/Throat doctor) for my sinus surgery and this is what I came out with:
I had to get my ears repierced.
I got my ears originally pierced when I was about 14 or so. One ear has been pierced just fine since then. The ear on the right has always been iffy. It’s a fatter earlobe to be honest. Hey, NO JUDGING. So I asked the doctor (surgeon) to check it. He said there was a granuloma in it (scar tissue from previous infection/trauma). He could surgically remove it. Forget that, I’ll just repierce around it. Like I haven’t had enough surgeries ir order just get my fat arse out of bed each day. I wouldn’t give a fiddler’s fart about my pierced granuloma ear if I didn’t have gorgeous earrings my hubby bought me.
So off I went to “Piercing Pagoda” at the mall (I could think of no other place) to get repierced. The girl was no rocket scientist, though I wasn’t expecting one. She was a loud talker and a close talker. Darned good thing she didn’t have man hands or I would have had to leave on the spot. Ticked me off right off the bat. She put a dot of purple Magic Marker stuff on my ear to OK the spot. I OKed the spots. I picked out the earrings. They are no longer $9.99 like they were when Andrea had her ears pierced. They are $61.99! Nickel free. Which I need. So she loaded and cocked that piercing gun and fired ‘em both. I asked a Japanese boy standing there watching in quiet to take my pic.
I now have two newly pierced ears with pearl earrings made for babies because I didn’t like the cubic zirconias they had for adults. Since I have such small “baby”-sized earrings, one can still see the purple markings behind the earrings. Great. It’s not coming off. Oh, and let me mention that the piercings ARE CROOKED. Just saying.
